As we approach the end of the year, I find myself reflecting on the journey I’ve taken over the past twelve months. It’s been a year filled with challenges, yes, but also an incredible array of experiences that have shaped me profoundly.
This year, I had the unforgettable opportunity to spend a month in Italy with my family, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The warmth of shared meals, laughter, and the beauty of our surroundings reminded me of the importance of family bonds. To cap off the year, I surprised my parents by visiting them during Christmas and New Year’s—something I hadn’t done in 13 years. The joy on their faces when I walked through the door is a moment I will cherish forever. Perhaps I was inspired by my own book, feeling a little like Luna, the protagonist I created. Maybe, just maybe, I subconsciously penned a story I knew I would one day live out myself.
This year has also been a roller coaster of emotions in my professional life. I attended Burning Man, an experience that opened my eyes to creativity and self-expression. As a photographer, I’m proud to share that I’ve been published in a UK magazine and have received an invitation to attend a fashion show in NYC this February. I even gave my first interview and published my debut book! Each achievement has fueled my passion and pushed me to grow in ways I never thought possible.
Now, as I prepare to dive into my second book, which will explore Luna’s adolescent life, I am filled with excitement. The story is already playing out in my mind, from the beginning to the end. But that’s not all—I’m also jotting down ideas for another book! The creative floodgates have opened, and I can’t wait to bring my visions to life.
I am immensely grateful for my Bookstagram community, which continues to grow every day. Your love and support inspire me beyond words. I’ve also rediscovered the joy of reading, immersing myself in the pages of books that transport me to almost parallel worlds.
This year has brought me many tears, but they are all tears of joy. I can’t wait to step into the New Year, 2025, with open arms, ready for whatever surprises it holds. Here’s to growth, love, and the endless possibilities that lie ahead!
